Article II, Section 3: Environmental Stewardship Purpose
We recognize the reality of climate change and its impact on human life, especially regarding already-disadvantaged groups of people. As a nonprofit promoting and expanding the rights of a marginalized group, we believe we must act on the existential threat of climate change for the same reason. Therefore, we are constitutionally required to have no greenhouse gas footprint. We estimate and track the emissions create through our activities and within one (1) year, offset it.
Front & Centre, Inc. observes in its educational purposes and statement to promote and expand LGBTQA rights an obvious duty toward environmental stewardship.
All Front & Centre, Inc. actions and costs shall be evaluated in terms of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2eq) to the best of the ability of the Treasurer. An accurate and extensive history of CO2eq incurred through actions and costs shall be mainted by the Treasurer. The Chief of Staff shall be responsible for including the monthly incurred CO2eq, as maintained by the Treasurer, in the agenda of the second monthly meeting for approval by simple majority vote. The Treasurer shall publish publicly all monthly CO2eq actions and costs incurred by Front & Centre, Inc. when approved.
All CO2eq incurred by Front & Centre, Inc. actions and costs shall be balanced through actions or purchases which reduce an equal amount of CO2eq within one (1) year of the initial action or cost.
Article II, Section 4: Ethical Purpose
In the interconnected world we live in, many people are concerned about the causes their money goes to. Our nonprofit's mission of promoting and expanding LGBTQA rights in Centre County, PA cannot be accomplished by looking at Centre County in isolationist. Many of our actions transcend the boundaries of our county, crossing the Commonwealth when necessary. To be consistent, we cannot give money to organizations in countries which do not recognize LGBTQA rights.
Front & Centre, Inc. observes in its educational purposes and statement to promote and expand LGBTQA rights an obvious duty toward ethical behaviour including its financial transactions.
All goods Front & Centre, Inc. considers purchasing must, to the best of the ability of the Treasurer, be evaluated to determine their national origins. No good, or the substantial part(s) of a good, whose national origins derive from a country which outlaws in any form the practice of homosexuality or discriminates marriages based on sex shall be purchased. The organization selling any good Front & Centre, Inc. considers but whose national origins derive from a country which outlaws in any form the practice of homosexuality or discriminates marriages based on sex shall be informed by the Secretary of the consideration and subsequent disqualification of their good.
No good, or the substantial part(s) of a good, whose national origins derive from a country which ranks as “Not Free” in the most recent Freedom in the World report by Freedom House or “Hybrid regime” or “Authoritarian regime” in the most recent Democracy Index by The Economist’s Intelligence Unit shall be puraches. The organization selling any good Front & Centre, Inc. considers but whose national origins derive from a country which ranks as “Hybrid regime” or “Authoritarian regime” in the most recent Democracy Index by The Economist’s Intelligence Unit shall be informed by the Secretary of the consideration and subsequent disqualification of their good.
Therefore, we have a two-pronged approach when we buy or sell products. First, all goods must come from countries which recognize same-sex marriage entirely: countries with civil partnerships (or any other term which is not equal to opposite-sex marriage) or with same-sex marriage in only some territories or which only recognize same-sex marriages conducted in other countries are not counted. These countries are represented in yellow in the figure on the right. Second, a country must be democratic. LGBTQA rights include the human right to vote for the people who represent them. Therefore, we will not trade with hybrid or authoritarian countries, as defined by the most recent Democracy Index from The Economist's Intelligence Unit. Democratic countries are represented in blue in the figure on the right. Countries colored green are those which meet both criteria and are the only countries we trade with.
Internal Policy #2017.2: Digital Advertising Policy
Our website uses Google AdSense to display ads to our visitors. This allows us to raise revenue for our activities because we earn money for each advertisement which is displayed/clicked on by visitors. However, our Ethical Advertising Policy warrants us actively insure our website is not being used by organizations antithetical to our values.
Front & Centre retains the right to deny displaying advertisements from sources it finds antithetical to its purpose and values. These advertisements will, to the best of our ability, be denied prior to being displayed. We shall openly promote to visitors of our website an accessible method to report advertisements they find oppose our purpose and values.
Advertisements which promote hateful speech or whose source promotes hateful speech, which violates our Ethical Purpose clause, shall not be displayed. Hateful speech includes, and is not limited to: racism; xenophobia and ethnonationalism; Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, and any other religious discrimination; sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and misgendering; and the promotion of war and international arms trading.
If you witness an advertisement on our website which you believe promotes hateful speech, please report it here. Alternatively, screenshot the advertisement as you see it on our page and email it to us so we may prohibit it from displaying in the future. We apologize if this has happened to you and will work to insure it does not happen in the future.

All digital advertisements shall include a description of the information used for personal targeting if applicable.
The LGBTQA community shares a unique history in withholding details of their personal life. Whether it is sexuality, gender identity, HIV/AIDS status, or sexual abuse, "outing" details about LGBTQA people is a threat which is far too common. We decided to respect the personal information of people using the Internet by publicizing the data we use to target audiences for our social media advertisement campaigns.
